I've posted multiple low-level programming questions on the main site, for no other reason than that I'm not an advanced programmer (or even anywhere near intermediate) in any sense of the word. Many of them, however, were downvoted or basically ignored.
For example, this question, where I asked why I got the result that I did was downvoted twice and had only 42 views.
First of all - yes, I know this is by far the busiest Stack site. That would definitely contribute to less attention. However, there are still very popular questions that many users look at when first posted.
Do users pay a lot more attention to questions that they don't think are amateurish rookie problems?
