I have to admit, I don't peruse Stack Overflow much anymore to answer questions. I don't have the free time like I did in the past.
With that being said, I do try to answer questions that I happen to see that might sound interesting and I have an answer for. However, doing so casually is a lot more work now since the home page keeps showing me the same exact questions in the same exact order all day. Well, as far as I can tell, it's not refreshing til the next day. When over half of the questions are for tags I have no interest in, or a question I looked at I have no further interest in interacting with, the home page will continue to push it every time I look for the day.
What happened? I don't think we can blame caching for this one. Well, you can, but it's a stupid policy if it will not show me NEW questions for a whole day. Not even my watched/ignored tags seems to have an influence anymore. Before, I would open a tab on Stack Overflow, quickly browse the questions, go about my business, then later come back and refresh the tab and see new questions. Now none of that works anymore. What's going on?
